Tortilla Pizza is a meal that is often overlooked and forgotten. How many times have we opened the refrigerator, stared in to it and thought there is nothing good to eat. In reality, we all have cheese, tomato sauce, and tortillas laying around our kitchen. This meal can be ready in less then 10 minutes. Faster than any pizza delivery service and a lot healthier too. Let’s see how it’s done.
You will want to prepare at least one tortilla per person. This about 280 calories. Prep time 2 minutes.
Ingredients:
1 Tortilla, flour
2 tbsp of Tomato Sauce ( my personal preference is Barilla – Tomato and Basil)
40gr. Mozzarella Cheese – shredded
Fresh Basil (optional)
Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees Celsius or 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Place tortilla on a baking sheet with aluminum foil or baking paper. This will keep your tortilla from sticking. First top with tomato sauce than the cheese. From here you can add anything you desire in the way of toppings, for instance, mushrooms, bell peppers, chopped deli turkey etc.. Then pop it in the oven for 8 minutes. Don’t forget to set a timer. 8 minutes means 8 minutes. Any longer and your pizza will burn. Allow to cool as long as your watering mouth can stand. Voila!
